Capita Advisory Services and Capita Strategic Children’s Services have successfully led the Capita bid to join the Office of Government Commerce Buying Solutions new Catalist consultancy framework agreement.
Capita has been awarded three framework agreements: to supply organisational consultancy and change management services to central civil government, local government and children’s services customers. The framework, which went live on 3 April 2006 and is set to run until 30 November 2009, will replace S-Cat. S-Cat has been suppliers’ main route to the public sector market since 1997.
Capita is one of only eight companies on the local government and children’s services preferred supplier list, and one of seven on the central government list. It was a tough competition with 900 submissions for the 8 lots from 205 separate consultancy suppliers. 55 were invited to tender and 67 framework agreements were awarded to 24 separate suppliers.
Catalist provides all publicly funded organisations a cost effective route to market for consultancy services. Potential customers are able to by-pass the traditional OJEU procurement route by buying straight off the framework. This allows them to access to Capita’s competitively priced services through a quick and compliant process that offers value for money and audited efficiency savings.
